Participation
There are three categories of entry for the competition – Pros, Public and Kids – These categories make room so anyone can join the contest and submit an entry! "The Pros" Category includes any company or team from the home building industry - Home Builders, Land Developers, Planners, Engineers, Students, Architects, Designers, Realtors, Consultants and Vendors. The Public category is for anyone wishing to participate that is not in the Home Building Industry. Still intimidated? Get a kit for your kids and use their imaginative creation to Get the Vote, after all, it’s all for the kids! Each category winner will receive a "Sweet" Award.
**NEW** EVANS AWARD - The Evans Award honours the founders and former owners of K.R. Evans 2 Design Group Ltd. (E2 + Associates), Kathy and Randy Evans, for their outgoing support and contributions to the community. Kathy and Randy were the founders of the annual GingerCane Fundraising Contest and it is our honour to carry on their legacy through the new Evans Award. A panel of prestigious and qualified judges (Kathy and Randy Evans) will choose the winner of the Evans Award, based on the overall BEST design of all the entries submitted into the contest. The Evans Award will be awarded each year with the winning team commemorated on the trophy for years to come!

Design & Build
GingerCane is an "Anything Goes" community of Gingerbread homes. Your team can build ANY TYPE OF GINGERBREAD HOME or sculpture you desire. The only requirement is that it is created with fun! Need design inspiration? Check out previous entries on our Facebook page or the Map view at gingercane.com.
Size
There’s no house too small or too tall, as long at it spreads holiday cheer to all!
Submitting your Entry
You DO NOT need to submit your home to us in person. Participation and voting takes place online at gingercane.com. Take photos and video of your building experience and final creation; upload the photos and a YouTube Video to your unique URL voting page.
Promote
Proceeds of the Campaign benefit The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, The Stollery Children’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, in whichever jurisdiction our contest entries are located. See our Tax Information online for all the details on campaign proceeds.
Proceeds
After voting opens at noon on November 26th – you will want to share your voting page (located at www.gingercane.com) with as many people as you can! We’ve given you some social media tools right on your page – but feel free to pick up the phone or email and encourage trades, colleagues and supporters to get out and vote! We’ve created a Donate-to-vote system, so every dollar donated - is a vote for your creation. Follow the competition on E2 + Associates Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Who won last year?
Past contests have attracted entries & donations from some great partners in the land development and homebuilding industries! The 2023 winner was Boskovich Sisters with the most dollars raised and Douglas Homes took home the new Evans Award. Congratulations and thank you again to everyone who participated. Every entrant and donation helps ‘Bake a Difference!’
